PurgeLine has no accounts, no cookies and no ads. Your games, streak and models are kept in your browser. The game sends a few small gameplay events (such as the score of each slice), tagged with a random ID, so we can see whether people play and come back. You can switch them off below.
What stays in your browser
These are kept in this browser's storage. Only the scores and events listed in the next section are sent:
- Each day's attempts: how you oriented the part, the sub-scores and tier (
pl:day:…). Records more than a week old are cleared the next time you open the game. - Your streak and tier history (
pl:stats). - Your Practice average and filter, the printer, material and filament you picked for each of your own models, the timelapse switch, whether you've seen the intro card, and whether you switched stats off (
pl:noStats). - Models you import (STL or 3MF), kept in this browser's IndexedDB. They are never uploaded.
Clearing this site's data in your browser removes all of it.
Anonymous gameplay stats
While you play, the game sends one small message for each of these events:
| Event | When | What it says |
|---|---|---|
| visit | The page loads | Whether this browser first visited on an earlier day |
| slice | You slice a part | Today or practice, and the score |
| share | You tap Share or Copy on a result | Today or practice |
| upload | You import a model | Nothing more (not the file or its name) |
Each message also carries the puzzle number and a random ID that this browser makes for itself the first time
(kept as pl:aid, with the day it was made in pl:firstSeen). The ID is random, not
derived from you or your device, and there are no names, emails or accounts to link it to. It is only used to
count how many different people play and how many come back the next day.
Not stored: your IP address, browser, device, location or country. There's no fingerprinting and no cookies. The stats are kept in Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine, which deletes them automatically after three months, and only totals are ever looked at.
One exception, from an earlier version: events sent between 25 and 29 September 2026 also recorded a coarse country and whether the device was a phone or a desktop, with an ID that lasted one page load (not the ID above). They expire with the three-month limit, by the end of December 2026.
Switching stats off here needs JavaScript. A browser set to send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control sends no gameplay stats either.
No gameplay events are sent, and the ID is deleted, when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, or when stats are switched off here.
Hosting
PurgeLine is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver the pages, Cloudflare handles each request, including your IP address, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. The site also has Cloudflare Web Analytics switched on: a page-view counter run by Cloudflare that uses no cookies and builds no profile of you, but doesn't follow Do Not Track or the switch above. It loads its own script from static.cloudflareinsights.com and reports page views to Cloudflare. Everything else, the game's code and fonts included, comes from purgeline.com itself.
